Heavy horse parade
raises charity cash
Heavy horses Jeff and Bob paraded their way
through Newport recently and raised £260
for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.
The horses, owned by Steve Redfern
and Sam Tetlow from Windmill Farm
Supplies, were on show to publicise the
annual Memorial Ploughing Match.
They began their trip at Dodnor industrial estate and made
their way through the streets and around Coppins Bridge before
stopping in St James Square. They proved a great attraction with
crowds gathering to pat the pair and take photographs of them.
