Matt Noyce has recently been
appointed head gardener at Quarr
Abbey, and as such is responsible for
the 200 acres of gardens, pastureland,
vegetable plot and private woodland on
the estate.
Matt, 34, was at school in
Southampton and then spent five years
gaining a wide variety of qualifications
at Sparsholt College.
His first employment was as
Countryside Ranger, based at Farley
Mount and covering seven other
sites of natural importance around
Winchester. He was then a Coastal
Ranger at Mount Edgcumbe Country
Park in Cornwall, before working
for Southampton City Council as a
supervisor in its Parks and Open
Spaces Department.
