Newport Lugleys
Cowes Lugleys
So much on offer at Lugleys
Whether it’s a lunchtime get-together, a
refined evening meal or for that special
occasion, Lugleys Restaurants have the
menus, facilities and ambiance to cater
for all needs.
Lugleys, in Lugley Street, Newport is
renowned for its stylish design, with the
chic restaurant bustling with informality
in a totally relaxed atmosphere. There
are lite-bite options at lunchtimes for
those seeking out a quick, budget bite.
For evening diners the changes
are subtle but highly effective. That
is when the lights are dimmed, the
candles are lit and a full a-la-carte
menu, with a selection of fine wines,
is on offer. When the weather permits,
there is the option of a candlelit supper
on the terrace or in the sheltered
garden. You could be anywhere in the
world, and it’s difficult to imagine you
are enjoying such delights right in the
heart of Newport!
A private dining room, alongside the
restaurant provides an ideal location for
small parties, with a lounge next door
for those ready to retire with a coffee
and liqueur to hand. There is also the
option of 'dine and stay' in one of the
luxury en-suite bedrooms, complete
with a full English breakfast, at the
Braunstone House Hotel, which forms
part of the complex.
Lugleys can also cater for wedding
receptions and private parties,
including birthdays, anniversaries and
christenings in a dining room that is
tastefully furnished and decorated.
Various dining, buffet and wedding
breakfast options are available and, the
hotel, restaurant and garden can be
exclusively reserved.
A second Lugleys Restaurant can be
found in Cowes, a sister but certainly
not the poor relation! The restaurant
is situated beneath the Art Decostyle
Osborne Court on The Parade at
Cowes. It is stylish and stunning, with
spectacular views of The Solent and
the mainland beyond. Where better to
sit and dine during the Cowes Week
regatta, or any other time for that
matter?
The restaurant opens at 10.00am for
coffee and pastries, followed by the
impeccable lunchtime service. The bar is
open throughout the day, and as soon
as afternoon teas have been served the
restaurant transforms to reveal its true
glory, becoming an elegant restaurant,

complete with candlelit tables and
mood lighting.
There is always a selection of
lunchtime and evening specials
to complement the menus, and
throughout the summer the Lugleys
seafood special tantalises the palates of
seafood aficionados. Wherever possible,
Lugleys meats are reared on the Island
and carefully selected to provide the
maximum flavour and tenderness, such
is the commitment to the provenance
of the food served at both Lugleys
restaurants.
Sunday lunchtime with a Lugleys roast
is a real treat for those looking for a
hearty weekend meal. A private dining
room is also available - this can seat up
to 100 people - and wedding receptions
at this venue are also becoming
increasingly popular.
Lugleys offer sophisticated dining at
its very best, so whether it is Newport
or Cowes the experience is one not to
be missed.
