The Ventnor Recital
For the fourth Ventnor Recital, 400 people
came on 6th February to hear the famous
trio play a mixture of classical and popular
music, in aid of the Ventnor Piano Fund.
"On the south of the Island we need
a better piano for our young to learn,
our not-so-young to improve, and to
attract the world's best musicians. So far,
we've raised over £5,000" says organiser
Anthony Churchill. Two concerts were
held, a matinee and soiree, at the church
which is ideal for its superb acoustics and
comfortable seating. Ventnor's Richard
Studt has another island appearance, this
time with his Sinfonietta orchestra, at
Ryde in December.
