GARDENING
life
Petunia Mixed Group
young plants and seedlings to
grow on. By the beginning of
April this will include young
plants of fuchsias, trailing ivy
geraniums, and a large range of
hanging basket plants. Surfinias
– “trailing” petunias – are still
a favourite, and come in a great
range of colours. These will be
arriving from our Island nursery
“Greentiles” at the end of
March/ April.
Our full range of summer
bedding plants ready for the
garden and tubs will be at the
garden centre by the end of
April, or beginning of May. Don’t
miss out on our new dianthus
and scented Devon pinks. These,
as well as osteospermum, known
as African daisies, marguerites
and geraniums, are wonderful
plants for summer colour.
Our plant staff are happy to
give help and advice: please call
into the Garden Centre. We will
Petunia Limelight Group
Bacopa Abunda White
be conducting
tours of our
nurseries on the
Island during
April, as well as
talks on pruning,
summer bedding,
and growing your
own vegetables.
