Jazz. The famous oboe intro on "Handbags
and Gladrags" by the Stereophonics who
are headlining the IW Festival, is also Pete’s
work.
Also confirmed in the line-up is nationallyacclaimed clarinetist, Dave Shepherd with his
Dixielanders, a band drawn from the cream
of British jazz stars some of whom have
been voted best in Britain on their respective
instruments. Dave’s all star band features
Britain's great jazz trombonist Roy Williams,
Enrico Tomasso on trumpet and Nick
Dawson who, when he's not singing and
playing piano, directs the great West End
show 'Mamma Mia'! The group is completed
by Len Skeet on bass and the great drummer
Stan Bourke.
Around the site, concert-goers will have a
choice of real ales and wines, and light hot
and cold refreshments will be available. For
early arrivals, there’s also the opportunity to
enjoy a steam train ride for just a fiver.
Tickets for Midsummer Jazz are now
