you can see from the photos is

The work has been completed
to the highest standards
with English oak doors and
windows used throughout.

Reliability, efficiency
and outstanding value
“We gained a reputation
for going the extra mile for
commercial companies and
we do the same for domestic
customers,” says Michael
Turner, owner of Reo
Windows. If you’re going to
fit new windows or doors,
or buy a conservatory, you
need a glazing company with
experience and expertise.
Reo Windows may not be a
high street name, but neither
is it a fly-by-night start up
company. Reo is the domestic
arm of long-established
M&B Trading, which Michael
brought from the mainland
after trading on the Island for
the previous 15 years.
You find Michael in his busy
23,000 ft factory at Spithead,
where lengths of aluminium
and uPVC are being cut to
fit. There is no showroom,
but he says: “The work we’ve
done here over the years is
our showroom. We can take
anyone wanting a porch or
conservatory, say, to a house
we’ve worked on. We can
discuss any variation in colour
– aluminium windows can
come in any colour you want
and uPVC has a choice of
finishes or design.”
For unlike many glazing
companies, Reo Windows
offers a complete design
service, again a practice
established in the many
commercial buildings in which
Michael has been involved.
“I designed the walkway on
the Metropole in Ventnor,
which we glazed, I’ve done
glass balustrades on houses,
I’ve worked for years with
William Smith’s company the
WS Group. Basically anything
made on a commercial scale
can be done on a smaller
domestic scale. We can sketch
out anyone’s ideas with our
computer software.”
Not that he would let
customers’ ideas run away
with them. He says he’d not be
doing his job if he let people
waste their money.
Because everything is made
in his factory, and he only
employs Island people – no
subcontractors – Michael can
guarantee the work will be
carried out to his exacting
standards. Photo above: REO
