Krishna Balarama Youth Group Winter Retreat
Nestled in the magnanimous Drakensburg Mountains, surrounded by nature’s serenity, we
found ourselves at a beautiful little resort, Mont Aux Sources, which 160 of us converted
into a Hare Krishna village for 4 days. It proved to be the perfect transcendental escape.
Our aim was to instill within own hearts, a sense of vaisnava community. There was time to
relax, to reflect, and to focus on genuine association and appreciation, and we sure had
fun while doing this!
We had japa hikes, interactive workshops, rocking kirtans, sports matches, delicious
Prasad and memories to last forever. The real highlight of the Retreat was the evening
kirtans. We focused on supporting our local talented devotees for the kirtans. The mood of
the devotees was one of love and appreciation and this translated into everyone signing
with genuine feeling and happiness.
And when the time came so say goodbye, we felt a deeper sense of appreciation for
Srila Prabhupada and what he has given us, to the devotees and friends that we spent
the last few days with,
