The seeds of ISKCON Stellenbosch were
sown more than a decade ago, when
devotees
from
ISKCON
Cape
Town
started a university outreach program at
Stellenbosch University.
Over the years, many devotees have put in a lot of
effort and time to maintain the program, and in
2011, the seeds of their efforts started to sprout
when Kavi-Karnapura Dasa moved in with two
devotees studying at Stellenbosch. His aim was to
establish a permanent Gaudiya Vaishnava
community in the heart of this predominantly
Afrikaans university town. But there was still a long
way to go.
The society has a variety of programs
and events that it organizes for its
members but all the activities aim to
introduce students to the Ve X[
