GET
involved
The Monticello Chamber of Commerce & Industry provides the following opportunities for
members to develop professionally and to become involved in the community.
AMBASSADOR
COMMITTEE:
The Ambassador team is the
visible, good-will arm to the
Chamber office. Their mission is to
welcome new businesses to the
Monticello area, help with current
membership retention and to
promote membership growth.
It is a fun and vibrant group
of volunteers, serving as the
“welcoming committee.” They
consistently attend Chamber
meetings, both the regularly
scheduled events and special
functions. Ambassadors schedule
Ribbon Cuttings to recognize
new members and to celebrate/
commemorate events of current
Chamber businesses.
They are passionate about our
Chamber and the opportunities
available to members who not only
join, but who truly “plug into” all of the
benefits available. If you have been a
member of the Chamber for at least
one year, enjoy meeting new people
and like to tour/visit local businesses,
this is the team for you. They meet
on the 4th Tuesday of every month
from noon-1:00pm. Please consider
joining…..this is an excellent way to
promote your business!
Chamber Block Party Committee:
Assist in the planning of the annual
block party located in downtown
Monticello. This family fun carnival
atmosphere is a community favorite
to 1,000’s of people that takes place
right before Riverfest. The group
meets monthly to prepare multiple
booths like a cake walk, minnow
races and wacky hair to live music
and delicious food all while hanging
out with friends and neighbors.
Event is held the Wednesday before
Riverfest every year.

YOUNG
PROFESSIONALS:
They meet the 3rd Thursday of
each month from 6-8pm. Anyone
ages 21-45 are welcome to join
us! We are a group formed to
connect and retain young talented
individuals in Monticello and
the surrounding communities
while helping develop the
future generation of leaders. Our
unstructured events are a chance
to build a strong network of
colleagues, clients and friends.
