IM THE FINAL WORD READERS’ LETTERS #ironmanmagazine Tag your posts on Instagram and we’ll pick our favorites each month. A Young Classic Nick Antico is another reason why Classic Phy- sique is the most exciting division in the IFBB. I love the older bodybuilders like Danny Hester and Darrem Charles (one of my all-time favorites). I’m glad they have a place to compete, but I’m inter- ested in seeing what the young guys can bring to the table. I think Antico is going to make some waves in that division over the next couple years. —Jake T., via e-mail @lissettekadlecek @nodonutshere @stephybanuelos @nick_antico @dannyhester @cor_fitnesss @herzogemerson @serhatbylz Solitary Confinement Bravo for the story on isolation training! For the last several years everyone has been talking about how the barbell is all you need. I’ve heard “experts” say that you don’t even need to train your abs if you do com- pound lifts. WTF? Tell that to Arnold back in the day! Not everyone needs to deadlift like Ronnie Coleman to bodybuild. Machines help me focus on a specific muscle, and my lower back isn’t jacked up the day after using them. I’m glad to see them get the respect they deserve. —Lucas R., via e-mail Eat Right Thanks to Cori Baker for opening my eyes and mind about diet. I had always tried to “eat clean” because I thought that’s the only way to do it. Of course, I would invariably mess up again and again. I’m following her on Ins- tagram now, and I like her ideas about flexible dieting. It makes so much sense. —George S., via e-mail IFBB Legend I had never heard of Harold Poole before reading your last issue, but once I heard he was in the IFBB Hall of Fame, I Googled him. He looked amazing. I love the physiques of the guys from the ’70s and ’80s. Iron Man should write more about classic-era workouts and diet. I don ’t know anyone who wouldn’t want to look like those guys. —Dan D., via e-mail Vol. 76, No. 4: IRON MAN (ISSN #0047-1496) is published monthly by Physique Press, 8370 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 320, Beverly Hills, CA 90211.
