Coddle Creek Students Present at State Conference
Crossroads Recognized for Graduation Rate
Tessa and Ainsley were invited to present their math projects Crossroads Arts & Science Early College, formerly
at the NC Council for Teachers of Mathematics Conference
VPAC, was recently recognized for earning a 100%
in Greensboro. They spoke with teachers from across the graduation rate for the 2015-16 school year. The photo

Crossroads Student Receives National Merit Award
John Roach, senior at Crossroads Arts & Science Early
College, was recognized on October 4th for receiving
a letter of commendation from the National Merit
Scholarship Program. Over 1.6 million students took the
Preliminary SAT last October, and only 34,000 are being
recognized for their exceptional academic promise
demonstrated by their outstanding performance.

Union Grove Recognizes Retired Educators
On October 2, 2016, Meme Edmisten and Teresa
Kutteh were honored as the school dedicated their
beautiful picnic area to them. Ms. Edmisten retired in
2015 after 46 years of service. Ms. Kutteh retired in
2014 after 14 years of service.

High School Recognizes Those Who Served Statesville High School’s Fi-Y club set up the “Field of Flags” in
remembrance of those who served. Tied to each flag is the name of a service member.
