KZ : Can you compare playing gigs in Poland to those in the UK ? Can You see any differences ? Hugo : Yes , a little--people are more active in Poland , more moving around and general craziness !
Voytek : I ’ d say the bands in Poland are more open and less competing with each other than what I ’ ve experienced in the UK .
KZ : How is it working in one band with people from different cultures ?
Vlad : Exactly the oposite of what you might think . We ' re one wierd and wonderful family . Wouldn ' t have it any other way .
Hugo : Yeah , it ’ s good . No worries there at all . We all come from different places , but that ’ s only offered us another source of jokes for us to make at each other ‘ s expense !
KZ : Where did the name " Metasoma " originate ? Has it got any history connected with it ?
Voytek : There is a story behind that name which belongs to our ex singer . So , long story short , the word " Metasoma " comes from Latin and describes the tail of a scorpion . The part where it keeps its poison . The idea is to make music that bites .
KZ : Are you playing only in Metasoma , or do you have other bands or project you are working with ?
Vlad : Oh digging deep are we ? Well actualy , yeah , I ' m part of X-ile , a Nu-metal band from Italy . Have fun investigating that-- check it out !
Hugo : I ’ m a professional musician , so I play whenever and with whomever I can ... a few regular bands I play with and then the odd session here and there .
Voytek : I love playing acoustic guitars--which I probably do more often than electrics — sorry , lads ! So , I do acoustic gigs from time to time , but nothing serious so far .
KZ : In your opinion , how is the music scene in United Kingdom ?
Hugo : Bloated ! A lot of bands and less and less venues . Plus , for one good band there are ten bad ones . It can become hard to know what to go for and I think that ’ s one of the reasons less people come to the gigs just to check new bands out . But it ’ s still a great scene and you can have some amazing gigs .
KZ : Do you like to meet with your fans after concerts , talking with them and giving autographs ?
Vlad : Definitely ! What would be the point if not ? That ' s kinda part of the whole experience . Go on stage , play , sweat , get off and spend time with you crazy guys that enjoyed the show .
