"It's interesting to see how the event grows every
year--attendance, flyers, clubs, progressively
increasing," says CLAUDE DEBORD, “whose
DeBord Annual Halloween Festival” is marking 20
years of family-oriented holiday fun. Falling on
Saturday, October 10th, at HARDESTY PARK in
Akron, Ohio, the festival features bands all day on
three separate stages. This reporter can attest to
the benefit of performing at DeBord Fest, as it
opened doors for my arts and music career,
appearing for crowds as large as 10,000.
“We always try Gospel, Bluegrass, diverse bands,
Country...we have a Blues Brothers Band circa
1980. The publicity can help anybody affiliated
with the festival; exposure from a great many
sources." The festival website has been viewed in
104 countries—with 200 views from Brazil alone
