But nothing can take the music away.” (“Tied and Bound” chorus) Dagda: I can take a pretty good guess about where the name Leaving Eden came from. Can you explain why you settled on that name? Eric: This whole planet is Eden right here in the present. We are in the garden living in a fishbowl. We look up at the stars and know that there is so much out there. Yet we are stuck here, we cannot leave, we are trapped. We are fish in a fishbowl. It would be cool if we could go somewhere else that wasn’t full of deceit; the snakes. People have come up to me seeing the snake in our logo and think that we are evil. The snake represents a very dominant force in this Garden of Eden.
