STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY TIMOTHY SCHUMANN
Here in El Paso, on August 31st we had one hell of a show, as I knew it would be! BULLET
FOR MY VALENTINE brought their "Summer's Last Stand" tour to the SOCORRO
ENTERTAINMENT CENTER--and of course, I was lucky enough to cover this epic event.
I don't know what it is about this venue, but I have never shot a show there where the
place wasn't packed, and this particular evening was no exception. Plus, what I love about
Socorro is they keep to the time schedule. So at ten sharp, the band hit the stage and
turned the venue into a madhouse with songs like "No Way Out", "Your Betrayal"
and "Raising Hell". BFMV had a very professional manner about themselves. It was a “no
frills” Metal show--they came out and PLAYED--plus just sounded great as well…and I
wouldn't have had it any other way!
I shoot so many shows here in
El Paso that something just
really needs to jump off the
page for me to take notice. For
the most part, I don't stay
for the entire show, but BFMV
just flew off the page for me.
Needless
to
say,
I
was
thoroughly impressed--not to
mention
the
couple
of
thousand people in attendance.
In closing, I would recommend
BFMV to anyone who is a true
fan of solid Metal music--make
no mistake, you won't be
disappointed--especially a live
performance!
