I was provided a fabulous opportunity to cover FAIRGROUNDS COUNTRY
FEST in Hagerstown, MD, c/o our broadcast partners at SCORPION RADIO
GROUP and their station, ROUTE 66 CRUISIN COUNTRY. The day included six
acts: JOSHUA MORNINGSTAR--who recently came off tour as a supporting act
for SHOOTER JENNINGS--son of legendary Country star, WAYLON
JENNINGS; LYNDSEY HIGHLANDER--an up and coming Indie Country artist
who took time out to meet over 300 fans after her set; DAVISSON BROTHERS
BAND--who had a very lively, energetic stage show; the very popular JANA
KRAMER--who sent fans flocking for an opportunity to win a meet and greet;
CRAIG WAYNE BOYD--season 7 winner of “The Voice”--under the coaching of
Country superstar BLAKE SHELTON; and the headliner, Grammy Award
winning artist, TRAVIS TRITT--who was a member of the Class of ’89…the year
he, GARTH BROOKS and ALAN JACKSON were signed to major label deals.
Yep, JP RAWK went COUNTRY…at least for the day!
