On October 7, 2014, here in El Paso,
Texas, at TRICKY FALLS, a night of
European Metal made its way into
town—with the Dutch Symphonic Metal
band DELAIN serving as the supporting
act for the Finnish Power Metal band
SONATA ARCTICA during their 2014
“Pariah's Child” Tour. DELAIN’S singer
CHARLOTTE WESSELS has a spot- on voice
and kept the crowd entertained
throughout their 45 minute set. She truly is
a sight to behold and extremely friendly
to her fans after the show.
SONATA ARCTICA’S set list covered their
15 year career. The band’s melodic
Metal delighted their fans--who banged
heads, pumped fists, and sang along to
their favorite tunes. Front man TONY
KAKKO is the truest form of a skilled
veteran performer. It's crystal clear that
El Paso loves both of these bands. In my
opinion, both bands put on a solid show,
well worth every penny! Needless to say,
El Paso awaits their return.
