The first track of the EP, “The Libertine, is infused with heavy guitars and driving percussions. The vocals are
a mash up of melodic singing (a la STONE SOUR) and Death Metal growls. This song has depth and
texture…and stellar musicianship with some unexpected change-ups and pauses—with the same blustering
power as MACHINE HEAD.
Second up on the EP is “Medusa”, which one might consider the “second chapter” of the book. It is equally
richly layered and wrought with emotion and intensity. Surely fans of STAIND, SEETHER, DEFTONES, THREE
DAYS GRACE, DISTURBED, SHINEDOWN, FLOW, DROWNING POOL, ILL NINO and ALICE IN CHAINS will
appreciate this track.
