My first impression? This is a VERY determined young lady—and coupled with the gifted ear and wise counsel of Bryan Kuban, they are an army of TWO! And make no mistake—this was WORK! And together, they dug in with military precision! Take after take, Ashley remained steadfast and undaunted. There were no complaints, no classic teenage “eye rolling” or losing steam for this seasoned pro. Her vocals, instead, appeared to gain strength as she hit her stride. At one point, you could actually HEAR where she “kicks in” and shifts into high gear. In fact, Bryan had to remind her on several occasions to take a few steps back from her “Dragonfly”--she is just THAT powerful! (“I go through a lot of mics,” says Ashley. “I wear them out!”). Several hours later, one tired young lady emerged from the booth and the first track of many was done. In the quest for the BEST, there were several other sessions to follow in the next few weeks until both Bryan and Ashley were satisfied. And the result would be…MAGIC! With the recording “in the can”, attentions were turned to the making of the video for “No Prince Charming”. For this, the Winelands enlisted local company CREATIVE DOORWAY. Owner, visionary and Director extraordinaire, JAMES BUZZACCO, would be leading the video project--joined by his talented wife and partner, MISTY BUZZACCO, and their very capable staff. We received our shooting schedule, along with information on the various locations at which we would be filming for over the two day period. The gorgeous Superstition Mountains would serve as a backdrop for much of the shoot, but several other equally eye-appealing locales were also selected. These included some area “hotspots” whose ambiance lend themselves to the Southwest theme. These included: SUPERSTITION MOUNTAIN MUSEUM, GOLDFIELD GHOST TOWN an area carnival, and of course, The Hitching Post. Besides the cast of “No Prince Charming”, which included ELIJAH BISACCA (aka Prince Charming), STEVEN STIERMAN (aka Humble Guy), TRENTON HEGEL (Prince Charming’s “wing” man), MAKAYLA HEGEL and SHAYLYN HEGEL (Ashley’s “wing” girls), there were numerous “extras”, comprised of the locals and Ashley’s fan base turning up to support this event. Some were even of the four-legged variety—in the form of horses, sheep and the aforementioned bulls. I would be remiss if I didn’t give a “shout out” to MIKE MCFADDEN, the owner of AZTrailRiding.com. He was our “Huckleberry” and all around “go-to” for not only the majestic horses he supplied, but, well, he’s just one of those guys that just happens to know everybody…in other words…Mike has the “hook up”. Over the two days of the shoot, we went from location to location. The views were as epic as the video itself. Some of the scenes included horseback riding along remote Arizona trails surrounded by the splendid beauty and majesty of the Superstition Mountains, a historic Ghost Town, an Old West replica barn set outside a museum, a colorful area carnival, a LIVE bull riding event—complete with REAL cowboys and rodeo clowns-- and a glorious bonfire scene. But it all culminated where our journey began last year…at Apache Junction’s premiere Country venue--The Hitching Post. www.ashleywineland.com https://www.youtube.com/user/aewprincess https://twitter.com/AshleyEWineland https://www.instagram.com/ashleyewineland/ https://www.facebook.com/AshleyWinelandMusic http://www.ashleywinelandepk.com/ http://alvarezguitars.com/artists/#breakthrough-artists http://corralboots.com/content/23-celebrities www.tntbooking.com
