Music by SECTAS “Destiny”

They say bad things come in threes. But “Bad Ass” things come in threes also. Especially when they play a guitar, bass and
drums. Ask anyone in the desert area of Phoenix--who is THE Metal band to see and the name SECTAS will come up. This trio
of Metal rockers have made it on the list of “Top 10 Metal Acts to See in Phoenix” by PHOENIX NEW TIMES and also named
vocalist CHRISTIAN LEE as one of the “Top 10 Vocalists” in the area.
Christian Lee (lead guitar) and DAVID "Runaway" SECTAS (bass) started playing in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. It should be
noted that Lee was the one that suggested Runaway learn the bass and that it did take him all of 15 days to learn 7 Heavy
Metal songs. They scraped by, living in a small room with sleeping bags and a black and white TV, all the while, sending demo
tapes to record labels. A label in Mexico City signed them, which allowed them to garner a large fan base in Latin America that
still remains strong. After moving to Arizona in 2000, their drummer returned to Mexico. They found another drummer who
eventually left in 2013. After auditioning 15 more drummers, they finally found JOHNNY COLLIER--who told them, "I can play
drums better than the drummer you had." It's worked out great--as Johnny's double-kick drums add a depth to the music
that rattles the bones of the hardest Metal fan. The sound these three make is beyond reproach. So good in fact, that reporters
that have been to shows to cover other artists playing the same show have changed their mind…and decided to report on them
instead.
