MARK MYERS
Mark is a Senior Photojournalist for ION and also is our Media
Coverage Coordinator, acting as a liaison between our
journalistic staff and the “gatekeepers” for the global acts that
appear in our magazine. Mark photographed the likes of Van
Halen, Def Leppard, Halestorm, Joe Satriani, Lita Ford—and
numerous others for ION. He also shot the covers for our Leaving
Eden and Red Sky Mary editions, and authored the article on
RSM. Mark is the owner of Mark Myers Photography in Concord,
New Hampshire.
THOMAS R. JENNEY PH.D
Thomas (aka Downtown Tommy) has been on our team since our
inception in June of 2014, authoring his monthly column for
ION, “The Music Muse”. The column provides helpful hints on
honing guitar skills and also covers independent artists and
various music event news.
He was the author of the cover feature on Angie Haze. Thomas
resides in Ohio and is the Executive Director of the Barberton
Gallery of Fine Arts, where he promotes the arts in all mediums
and raises awareness for various arts-related causes.
KATARZYNA ZAKOLSKA
Lovingly known to our readers as “Kat Zee”, Katarzyna resides in
Poland and is our overseas correspondent and music reviewer.
She has contributed to ION since we began this journey back in
2014 and is an avid fan of female-fronted Symphonic Metal
music, but also enjoys many variations of Rock and Metal. She
recently traveled to the U.K. and covered the Xandria/Serenity
concert and also penned the cover feature spotlighting
Symphonic Metal band, Enemy of Reality. We look forward to
what musical jewels Kat will bring us in the future!
