GARY CAROTA
North Carolina-based, Gary Carota (of Gary Carota Images) is a
Senior Photojournalist for ION and an avid supporter and promoter
of the NC music scene. He has provided enthralling live music
photography for ION—including shooting the cover and authoring
the April 2016 edition featuring The Southern Experience Band.
Gary also scooped an interview and photographed the iconic band
Queensrÿche. You will be sure to find him in the “pits” of the biggest
Carolina festivals and events.
LEE HOFFMAN
Senior Photojournalist for ION, Lee Hoffman, is based out of Buffalo,
New York. He has a style of photography that is “uniquely Hoffman”—
and is widely appreciated by our readers.
Lee has a true passion for the “indies”…and has captured numerous
bands for this publication; along with various events and festivals.
His photography is action-rich; dramatic and dynamic and really
brings the pages of ION to life!
SHAWN JOSEPH
Shawn Joseph (aka “Chaos”) is the author of the popular column
“Chaos’s Corner”, in which he features lyrics of songs penned by
independent artists—with a dash of his own interjections for
additional “flavor”. He recently delved into the photography realm
with his new project, “Chaotic Embrace”.
Shawn is also a talented singer-songwriter-guitarist with TFP (The
Factor Project)…thus, he “walks the walk and talks the talk” of
today’s indie artist. He makes his home with the lovely Jessica in
Ohio.
