It’s been almost 3 years, since the band A COURSE OF ACTION released their debut album “Dark Before The Dawn”.
During that time, the band grew a legion of loyal fans and followers, not just in their home state of North Carolina, but
worldwide. Their long awaited 2nd release, “Treason”, is set for worldwide release and distribution on 6/8/15. ACOA has
become well known, for their tight, high energy, LIVE shows, and while the band already plays quite a few of these songs
in their live set, their fans are going to be treated to something special with this new album. Under the masterful mixing
and producing by the band’s own JONATHAN BYRD, the studio versions of these tracks are nothing short of incredible.
Each track has that hard-hitting Rock edge that ACOA
is known for. With well thought out lyrical content,
stellar vocals by JOHN CULBERSON, in-your-face
guitar riffs by JONATHAN BYRD, a good, hard-driving
bass line by WES JOHNSON, and a solid beat from
their drummer, JT SILVESTRI, this album has it all.
With about a 15 second super crisp guitar intro,
(which I had never before heard), undoubtedly, the
crown jewel of the album, is the band’s well known,
radio friendly track, “Who We Are”.
While I love this whole album, what’s my favorite
track? My personal favorite is “On the Inside”. I give
this explosive, powerful album 5 stars.
ACOA is the total package as a solid Rock band. And
with this latest effort that solidifies the bands
signature sound, they are well on their way to
greatness, as they make the transition to the “next
level” as a national touring act.
