WHITE KNUCKLE BLACK OUT Interview by JP Rawk • Photography by Gary Carota www.facebook.com/pages/Gary-Carota-Images/1446109878980969 WHITE KNUCKLE BLACKOUT, a 3 piece Metal band from North Carolina, comprised of FRANZ SCHROERING (guitar and vocals), MITCH WALKER (bass) and NEAL WARD (drums) can best be described as a one hundred mile per hour, heart-racing, groove-driven, fist-pumping, horn-raising, head-banging, stage-ripping band that will give early METALLICA and ANTHRAX a run for its money in the speed category. They don’t seem to lift off of throttle for anything. So, strap in, hold on tight and enjoy the one hundred mile per hour thrill ride that is White Knuckle Blackout. JP: I’m glad to be able to get together with you guys. It just happened that I was going to be in town this weekend for the show. We have GARY CAROTA shooting pics and I wanted to do an interview with you. Gary’s a big supporter of the North Carolina scene. Is it a tough scene, you think? Franz: It is. It’s “dog eat dog”. It’s cut throat. Some bands support other bands, but don’t support enough bands. We all want the same thing. We all want our day in the sun. We want to be respected. We want to be out on stage. We want a chance to shine and have our songs outlive us. JP: Is there a lot of “pay to play” here?
