Singer/songwriter/actress (and sometimes
vampire) KARLI REDD is a force of nature-one of those tough-talking, wise-cracking
New York chicks with a raspy voice born of
smoky clubs--and a cackling laugh that
carries to the next block. Each and every time
we chat, I could close my eyes and just listen
to her vernacular and swear I’m shootin’ the
shat with CYNDI LAUPER. If I had to sum up
Karli Redd in one word, it would be “survivor”.
Between the life that she has led (and there
has been a LOT of livin’ goin’ on there) and her
longevity in “the biz”, she has tales to tell. And
tell them she does! When new fans ask where
she’s been, she is quick to say “I’ve been here
all the time!”
Whenever this Chi Town gal and NY lady heat
up the phone wires, the convo is spicy;
peppered with innuendo and with a dash of
no-holes-barred. After all, she has nothing to
hide (have you seen her costumes?).
