but he may have a stronger taste for Brazilian music. Piatan started with the guitar, and later grew to play percussion. He’s participated in vocal groups and choirs for years, helping to contribute to some of the band’s vocal harmonies. RICARDO MARANHÃO is found on the guitar and one of the lead singers. He is definitely the biggest Blues enthusiast of Milk’n Blues. Although he does like Grunge and Alternative Rock from the 1990s, he fell in love with the Blues after he first listened to an album by ROBERT CRAY at his grandma’s house. After that moment, he couldn’t stop listening to it. Other Blues men like ERIC CLAPTON, ROBERT JOHNSON and BB KING, also played a very important role in his formation as a guitarist and as a singer. Ricardo is a natural improviser and believes that a song should sound a little different each time you play it, as the feeling of the moment is played through the instrument. EDUARDO MACHADO is the bassist and backing vocal singer. He addresses their unique harmonies as "We are not all lead singers in the band, but still everyone likes to sing"--and after listening, it’s obvious why they always find a way to mix in everyone’s talented vocals. Since the beginning of the group in 2011, he’s always pushed for the use of vocal arrangements to bring an extra flavor to the sound of Milk’n Blues. That, of course, means a lot of work for the band, and a nightmare for their mixer console operators. His influences are quite wide, ranging from Brazilian Music to THE BEATLES-- to Heavy Metal, to Progressive Rock, to 1970’s Funk, Disco, Classical and so on. As a bassist, he draws a big influence from PAUL MCCARTNEY, playing simple and melodic bass lines.
