A New Year is time for reflection and renewal…and as I look back at 2014, I
can’t help but think of how far this publication has come since its launch
In June. It has been a year of new beginnings that included the
realization of my “Dream for a Zine”. The fruition of that dream could
not have been possible without the dedicated journalists that lend
their talents to make ION Indie Magazine the presence that it is
in the Independent music scene that it is today! And so we look
to 2015 to all the great opportunities coming in the New Year,
and to bringing our readers the very best of Independent music
of all genres worldwide!
We are ringing in the New Year with our first featured band of
2015, STITCHED UP HEART! Our own DR X brings this fiery band
to our readers and reveals what makes them tick! ION had
featured their frenetically epic video “Frankenstein” in a previous
issue--and knew we simply HAD to nail down this very busy Los
Angeles band for an interview. Read all about STITCHED UP HEART in
this issue.
Our photojournalist DANIEL “THE DAGDA” JOHNSON has turned his camera’s
eye on some renowned bands this month. In this issue, Daniel spotlights SLIPKNOT, KORN and PUDDLE OF
MUDD. I am confident our readers will appreciate Daniel’s electrifying photography—exclusive to ION Indie
Magazine.
