ION INDIE MAGAZINE February 2015, Volume 9 | Page 89
To overcome this hurt that I feel.
Ran thru the ringer and broken
I'm well beyond the point of just ill.
I'm still scarred from years ago.
From my trip down the rabbit hole.
Keep on walking Mr. Medicine man,
There’s nothing here for you to do or say.
Unless you plan to hang me out like a scarecrow,
& frighten all the children away.
Better think twice before you go
There’s no coming back from the rabbit hole
It’s a one-way trip
Leading up to a fall.
I don’t wanna relive
I don’t wanna recall.
Gonna mess around
And lose your soul.
Chasing them spirits
Down that hole.
What a treat this has been please take a moment to check out Sans Fear, you will not be disappointed!! On that note I leave
you with a piece of chaos, fresh from my fractured mind. I would like to dedicate this piece to the inspirations at this stage of
my life. I call it “This”. I hope you enjoy.
THIS
By Shawn Joseph
Smiles stealing away
Yesterday is never the same
Empty thoughts traveled
Pain comes unraveled
Memories less travelled
I have nothing left to give
Barely even a reason to live
Suffocating on the sand
Hopelessly trying to be a man
Realizing fate had a different plan
This is only my final stand
