The group combines individual musical prowess to create a strong collective chemistry. Based out of Gainesville, Florida, Morning Fatty continues to evolve and transform their sound since coming together in 2004. The group’s original dynamic shifted incredibly with the addition of experienced drummer TIM MULBERRY. The new sound can only be described as Funk-Rock-Electro-Dub, or simply “FRED”. By melding electronic bass drops, dueling guitar licks, heavy rock melodies and a fat reggae groove, Morning Fatty discovered a distinctive sound that pays homage to each member’s unique style. Here is a more in depth look at the members that make up the Morning Fatty sound…they include: ANDREW WHITE (Guitar/Lead Vocals/Keys): Born in Boynton Beach, FL, Andrew White came from a family of talented musicians. He picked up many instruments, but settled on guitar at age 8. Starting with bluegrass and folk music, Drew soon discovered The Beatles and learned all of their songs. Drew went on to study music at Santaluces High School, where he joined up with JOHN POP. In high school, Drew became obsessed with jazz and funk music. This led him to study Jazz Guitar Performance at Palm Beach State College for several years. Soon after, Drew moved to Gainesville and re-joined Morning Fatty. His influences include The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, John Scofield, Tower of Power, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, Oscar Peterson, Joe Pass, Snarky Puppy, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Kim Burrell, Paul Gilbert, Bela Fleck, Tony Rice, Sam Bush, Mark O Connor--and many more. His gear includes a 2012 Fender Strat and Blackstar HD 100 amp.
