As it stands, there are only a few bands on the local scene here in El Paso that I favor and it’s time to showcase one
of the best that the area has to offer--and that's ANDROMEDA THEORY. I have been following these guys for quite
some time now, and I feel strongly that this band will achieve the goals they have set for themselves in due time. The
band consists of CHRIS CASTILLO (vocals), JAMIE RODRIGUEZ (bass), FLOYD HEGEDORN (drums) ANTHONY
GONZALEZ (rhythm guitar) and ROBERT MARTINEZ (lead guitar). The band has only been together one and a half
years, with the exception of Jamie, who joined the band a year ago. Their major influences are LOVE AND DEATH,
KORN, A PERFECT CIRCLE and KILLSWITCH ENGAGE. On the 30th of October, they had their CD release party, which
was joined by PROJECT INDEPENDENT, who did a live webcast for millions to enjoy--what a party that was! This is a
band that supports all local music and has the mindset to make a huge difference in the El Paso area. ANDROMEDA
THEORY has dates in February--the 20th in Tucson and the 21st in Phoenix--as well as at SXSW in Austin on March
