I adored Desolate Pathway--with accents in DIO or a HEAVEN AND HELL climate. These sounds together with melodic singing sounds are excellent! Melodic riffs and fabulous drum work are married and they produce badassness! This song presents a pretty epic guitar solo. I can hear influences of BLACK SABBATH in King of Vultures with “Doomish” influences. Worthy of a listen are also: Upon the Throne of Lights…flaunting Traditional Doom Metal, and the track Shadow of the Tormentor; which presents some interesting change-ups. The music of DESOLATE PATHWAY is melodious and infectious and every song on this CD has a solid basis in Traditional Doom Metal. The band has obviously put a lot of thought into this album, and their experience shines through. Valley Of The King is a most impressive debut album. I can forsee great things for this English band! Long after this CD ended, strains of Doomish melodies still ran through the pathways of my mind. I'm sure that every Doom Metal lover will adore this CD...the same as me! http://www.desolatepathway.com/ www.facebook.com/desolatepathway https://desolatepathway.bandcamp.com/
