She has also shared the stage and has toured with Grammy Nominated Producer, DAVID
MAYFIELD and JESSICA LEA MAYFIELD in THE DAVID MAYFIELD PARADE.
Angie Haze began studying piano at the age of 6 using the Suzuki Method and was
greatly inuenced by classical composer FREDERIC CHOPIN, as well as JOHANN
SEBASTIAN BACH, CLAUDE DEBUSSY, PYOTR ILYICH TCHAIKOVSKY and GIUSEPPE
VERDI.
With her Italian background she also grew up listening to songs such as "O Sole Mio",
"Santa Lucia", "Oh Marie" and "The Tarantella"--which have had a huge impact on
Haze's songwriting method and choice of chord progressions.
Another unique, but very inuential shaping of Haze's musical arrangements came from
movie soundtracks from “Rudy” by JERRY GOLDSMITH, “Pearl Harbor” by HANS
ZIMMER, “Meet Joe Black” by THOMAS NEWMAN and “Life is Beautiful” by NICOLA
PIOVANI.
Haze was also involved in musical theatre in school and has incorporated similar styles
into her music as well as her entertaining stage performance. Some of her favorites were
musicals such as “Fiddler on the Roof”, “The Sound of Music”, “Rent”, “Evita”, “West Side
Story”, “Godspell”, “Cabaret”, “Mary Poppins”, “Chicago”, “Phantom of the Opera”
and “Jesus Christ Superstar”. Acts such as, JONI MITCHELL, ALABAMA, JOHN DENVER,
NEIL YOUNG, CCR, JANIS JOPLIN, SARAH MCLACHLAN and TOM WAITS have also
inspired and helped develop much of Haze's approach as an artist. (Biography courtesy
