ION: Adrenaline Mob? The name insinuates that you are all thrill seekers. The lyric video for “Feel the Adrenaline” also suggests this. Can you tell me what your particular thrills are, personally as well as the other members of the band? What gives you that rush of adrenaline, other than music, which I would bet is the primary rush for all of you? Mike Orlando: I would definitely call myself the “Adrenaline-fueled Junkie” of the band. LOL, that's also where the name derived from. I've raced dirt bikes for years when I was a teenager and I've also drag raced for years and still own a 700hp 90's Corvette. So that's definitely a big part of my fascination with speed, LOL. Songs like “Down to the Floor” (from the album “Omerta”), are about drag racing and “Feel the Adrenaline” has the same fast car vibe with a twist. AJ (AJ PERO, drums) is a long time biker and Russ (RUSSELL ALLEN, vocals) rides as well. The track, Indifferent actually starts off with Russ on the chopper through the desert. ION: “Come on Get Up:--gotta tell you--that song really hits home for me, as I’m sure for just about everyone who’s had life knock them down at some point. It’s gotta be the best advice anyone can give someone, but sometimes more easy to say than practice. Have you had that moment where you needed that advice, but found it hard to do? Mike: Yeah, we've all been there once or twice regardless of the circumstance. It's a hard-hitting track with a very straight to the point message. It can pertain to anyone at any given challenge in your life, at that moment in time where you need to overcome and find the strength to bounce right back. We've all felt it. It’s not how hard you hit sometimes, it’s how hard you can get hit and not give up. ION: How does that feel when you’re told that a song like that has helped someone? That they were at that point where they needed an aggressive kick in the ass to get out of whatever funk they may have been in at any particular time? There’s got to be some kind of special reward to writing and playing a song that doesn’t just appeal to people on a cliché, crotch rock type of level. Mike: It's a great feeling for any artist, when you can reach even one person with a message you're putting out there in your art. I've had many people, thankfully, come up and tell me that a song hits home for them. It happens to so many people every day in so many different ways. So if it's a song that gets you pumped and back in the game that day, then crank it up loud I say!
