Brooks was asked if there was a time when he knew he had the crowd on stage. Garth smiled, answering, “When the crowd pops, you have a take a second to recover, then pop them back.” It’s now clear that Mr. Brooks is far more concerned with pleasing his crowd then taking anything from them. Garth Brooks said it was important to let the crowd know you’ll pop them right back “like a fighter”. At the close of the conference, Brooks stated that he’s “always been a result of what people want me to be”…the ultimate “people pleaser”. He finally admitted that he enjoys serving--comparing his interaction with the crowd to a waiter at a restaurant. Brooks may not outwardly recognize he’s far more of a giver than a taker--whether it be to the media, his fans, his wife, kids or charity His propensity to pour his heart and sou
