My First Year as a Professional Coach presented by Eleanor Barber on Friday 20th May, 2016 at 12pm UK time For those of you just starting out on your journey to Professional Coach, I will highlight some of the highs and lows of my first year of business, share some of my “lessons learnt” and those all-important “things I wish I’d known a year ago” I qualified as a coach last year, and “set up” my business. But what does that really mean? And having a business isn’t the same as having clients. There is so much information available on the internet for starting a business, where do you start? I will share with you my own experiences, around starting a coaching business, the thrill of getting that first client, and the fear that went with it. Find out what are the main things that I have learnt, and what I know now, that I wish I’d known a year ago. Eleanor Barber Rocket Scientist, Sailor, Tea-drinker, and Coach: Eleanor Barber has worked in science and engineering for over 10 years building everything from medical implants to instruments on space ships. She came to coaching after a life-changing gap year in the sailing world. After returning to dry land, she trained with the Coaching Academy and qualified as a coach. Whilst she still works in the space industry, her main focus is on helping people on this planet start and grow their own business, without losing their family and friends, and doing the things they love the most.
