mother played a big part in her present day

entrepreneur. Her mother explained the

which had the power to ward off or repel
a snake, when planted on the boundaries
of any house or garden. Th ere was no
need to kill them unnecessarily out of fear.
Another plant called the Th ayambu could
lure snakes and sedate them, making it
easy to catch them and relocate them to
safer places. Haldi (turmeric), Tulsi (basil)
andPodhina (mint) could be used to cure
almost any ailment. Methi (fenugreek) and
Hibiscus were excellent hair conditioners
and Moringa leaves could be used for
strengthening the hair follicles. Coconut
oil could be used to cure both external and
internal ailments.
Yashodhara’s life revolves around her pets
and other animals. With her constant
perusal to breed the fi nest, she kept
