Sujata Bhattacharya – a
single mother with a teenage
daughter and 2 super cute
beagle babies, Buddy and
Hazel, is the brain behind
FurrMeals. According to her,
“If we don’t eat the same food
at every mealtime then why
should our pets?” Th eir multi-
recipe subscription model is
based on this philosophy.
Telling us about how she came
up with the concept of starting
this venture Bhattacharya says,
“ Necessity is the mother of all
inventions’ and that’s exactly
how FurrMeals came into
existence! About a year back
when I started looking for a
convenient and healthy food
option for my beagle baby who
was suff ering with a health
condition, I faced a dearth of
fresh and tailor-made food
options. Th e market is fl ooded
with processed, dry pet food
but this is certainly not the best
food option that I was looking
for on a long-term basis.”
Th e diet she devised for
her Beagle aft er extensive
research and consultation
with veterinary nutritionists
transformed him from an

irritable and listless pet into
a super active, high-energy
beagle with a twinkle in his
eyes!
