Is honesty the best policy?

This answer is about honesty, management of a candidates expectations is key to any organisation. They don't want to hire anyone who has unrealistic goals. Investment in you is always about being realistic.

Try and answer this question as if your line manager was answering. It's always healthy to demonstrate the want and need to learn more and eventually be involved in some decision making in the future. This adds value and makes the companies investment in you more secure.

Answer

I always have considered that I am on a learning curve. I would hope that in five years from now, I would have more autonomy, participation in some of the decision making process and more responsibility. I have a history of career development and I see this opportunity as a compliment to my experience and knowledge in this field.

Never try to reach to high with your answer it must be kept in proportion with your current level of responsibilities but there is nothing wrong with showing ambition.

Finally keep your voice tones higher to show the want and need with this topic. Empathetic voice value is key here.
