→ ACTIVITY #2: Crafting your own monologue In its simplest form a monologue is a story told by a solo performer to an unseen listener. The contents of the story could be anything but the best ones have a few things in common: • The character has a problem that they need to talk through to decide how to proceed • The audience is part of the conversation; we are essential to the character’s journey and they care what we think • By the end the character has changed; they have made a decision and they have planned their next step • → YOU HAVE A GO!
