c. Medical Leave If you are feeling unwell and have been granted medical leave, ensure that you have a Medical Certificate (MC) to cover your absence from work. Inform your organisation supervisor as soon as possible and submit your Medical Certificate (MC) via StudentLink (“Online Special Leave Application and Submission of Medical Certificate during Attachment/Internship”). 28 For cases of excessive medical leave, your internship period will be extended accordingly.  d. Insurance • Students are insured against industrial hazards or accidents through NTU’s Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme. • The University has also taken up a Public Liability Policy Insurance to indemnify organisations against claims and damages arising as a result of an act committed by NTU students in the course of the internship. • For more details, including claim submissions, refer to this document here. e. Work Permit If you are an international student doing credit-bearing internship, work permit is not necessary.
