Power Supplies for Submersible & Swimming Pool-rated LED Luminaires

The following list of transformers are for use with submersible and / or pool rated luminaires specifically described as being compatible with either 24 V DC or 30 V DC power supplies . Compatibility will be noted in the ordering code of the luminaire concerned , and will typically be referenced by Voltage Code ' 07 ' or ' 27 '. In the case of ' 27 ' additional components may be required . Refer to the applicable wiring diagram / s .

Compatibility with each power supply is indicated by the value mentioned , representing the maximum number of luminaires that may be powered from each transformer or power supply . Please note that the calculations are based on a maximum cable run of 50 m and a trunk cable size of 3.3 mm 2 .

Table does not take into consideration voltage drop beyond a distance of 50 m or ampacity limits of the branch circuit . Please note that submersible luminaires installed within Australia or New Zealand have to adhere to AS / NZS 3000 . For assistance , please contact factory .

Remote , Constant-Current Drivers for LED Luminaires

Generally speaking , the use of a remote driver is undesirable , except in some specific situations such as when the driver can be housed immediately adjacent to each luminaire ( i . e . in the junction box the luminaire is mounted to ), or when a luminaire has no option for a driver to be placed within the luminaire itself . The term “ driver ” here refers to a device that directly powers the LED inside the Luminaire . The ' driver ' requires that luminaires be wired in series . This device will put out a ' constant current ', which is required by the LED itself .

The following list of drivers are for use with luminaires specifically described as requiring a remote constant current driver . Compatibility will be noted in the ordering code of the luminaire concerned , and will typically be referenced by Voltage Code ' RW ', ( i . e . ' remote ').

Compatibility with each driver is indicated by the value shown in the table , representing the maximum number of luminaires that may be powered from each driver . Please note , this does not take into consideration voltage drop or ampacity limits of the branch circuit . For assistance , please contact factory .
