oga To Go have gone through a revamp! New logo, new
website and some incredible new locations added to the
list of retreats and teacher training courses.
Behind the scenes, Melissa Farrer,
owner and operator of Yoga To
Go, has been working tirelessly
to create the new look and to
personally select the venues for
upcoming events to ensure that
everything is perfect.
Melissa explains “Yoga to Go
bases their daily Ashtanga yoga
practices on the ancient system
of yoga popularized by K. Pattabhi
Jois. Our practice incorporates
the Ashtanga series from primary
through the third sequence.
Ashtanga is a dynamic series of
postures (asana) combined with
strong breathing (pranayama) that
exposes the student to a powerful
flow through all levels of ashtanga.
Perfect for building extraordinary
strength, the practice focuses
on core work, balances, and
inversions. Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
is different from many yoga classes
utilizing a defined set of postures.
A practice will comprise of five
main parts: an opening sequence,
standing
series,
balancing
sequence, a set of seated postures
and a finishing sequence. Class
always ends with savasana, or
resting pose. Students of this
particular practice are some of
the most dedicated around the
world! All levels are welcome to
experience “flying and floating!”
On your retreat we will practice
twice a day and incorporate
strong core-building Pilates for
an incredible and invigorating
experience. We can modify every
practice to every level.”
You have a wonderful selection of
venues to choose from, including
Positano,
Sicily,
Florence,
Galapagos, Morocco and Belize all
of which are beautiful and offer
you the opportunity to enjoy yoga
with some of the most stunning
backdrops on the planet.
“Thank you for such a wonderful
week of sunshine, delicious
food, and lots of yoga. I would
recommend this retreat to
anyone looking to deepen their
yoga practice while enjoying the
beautiful surrounding at La Selva
Resort.”
