Melanie selected the door marked “it’s happening FOR me” “With the diagnosis, my life changed! It began. I started to look inside. I turned to nature. I moved to the jungle. I fasted on water. I feasted on fruits and vegetables only. I visualized. I prayed. I meditated. I started a heart dialogue therapy.I joined shamanic ceremonies. I got in contact with my essence. I’ve came to an understanding of how many ways it all is really happening FOR me not to me! Everything! I continued to travel and have pursued activities related to food, art and health ever since, seeing most of Europe, Iran, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Costa Rica, the United States and Mexico.” Melanie has now been working with raw food, nutrition and spirituality for the past three years and is an Institute for integrative Nutrition-certified Health Coach. Having discovered her own inner strength and understanding she shares this with others through her work as a Coach. To give you a clearer, purer, picture of Melanie I want to share this with you, written by Melanie:“I am creating a life that enables me to push the human race forward and to acknowledge and respect the body, mind and spirit connection. My health is my wealth, and I am finding out more and more what I want to use this wealth for, making the world a better place by being me and serving the ones, who know about their incredible inner life force but have forgotten how to connect to it.” Melanie and I share the understanding that much of who we are, and how we feel, is dictated by the foods we consume, or rather digest, and Melanie works with raw foods although is not 100% raw herself, She understands the process of learning to cleanse our body, to have the space to listen to our body and nourish as needed. With a clear, lighter system we can then begin to operate with more energy, energy previously used by trying to process a poor diet, which in turn gives us confidence and therefore, increases our self esteem. For me, this is the beginning of your journey of discovery. Melanie used food for her own healing journey:- “Being in nature, taking time to be with myself, fasting and cleansing were the first steps I took after endless research on how to deal with inflammation naturally. I believe, and it is scientifically proven, that most disease is caused by inflammation. I was very, very acidic and had a toxic mind. Eating more and more fruits and vegetables helped my body to get alkaline. My awareness changed, and I became lighter and more connected to all living things on our planet. I was literally floating on a cloud of bliss at times.” Learning to meditate, to visualise, can be a huge turning point for many people. It is not about spending hours in a dark space, meditation can be achieved simply by walking through nature. It is impossible to feel negative when you are surrounded by natural beauty, but more importantly, I find that being within nature, tuning into the sounds around you, giving yourself the headspace to think, to just be, has to be one of the best forms of meditation. To understand visualisation, to appreciate how it can help you manifest dreams into reality is a skill that we all have, it is just hidden under layers of other peoples thoughts and directions. Testament to this whole thought process is that Melanie is not in a wheelchair, far from it, she is running around and loving life as was intended. She is beautiful. She is Melanie. www.internationallifestylemagazine.com
