In a beautiful region of south-west France, Le Jardin
de Cabrerets Restaurant introduces Vegan and
vegetarian holidays
H
aving
moved
to
a
delightful part of southwest France, passionate
animal-welfare
supporters,
Louise and James, discovered
that although the French
love to dine, it largely involves
eating meat, meat and more
meat and there is very little
comprehension generally for
vegetarian cuisine (especially
in the more rural parts) and if
you declare yourself a vegan,
well, you’re in a whole new
sphere of lunacy according to
the general French view. This
didn’t stop Louise and James
(it, in fact, made them ever
more determined) in setting
up their own vegetarian and
vegan restaurant in south-west
France 3 years ago. Since
then, recognition for their
efforts is slowly growing and
they have featured in the top
10 restaurants out of over 400 in
their area on Tripadvisor. They
are proud to offer a range of
delicious vegan, vegetarian
and
gluten-free
dishes,
featuring some raw vegan
dishes and desserts, a range

of healthy juices, a dazzling
collection of wonderful organic
teas, vegan and organic beers
and wines that are locally
produced. They are passionate
about the environment and
have a no-palm oil policy and
try to source as much local
and organic produce as they
can, making their own organic
bread each day and sourcing
produce from their own garden
where possible .
Le Jardin de Cabrerets has a
number of comfortable selfcontained apartments so guests
can stay and conveniently
enjoy the restaurant at their
leisure, or opt for bed and
breakfast options, half-board
or all-inclusive packages, at
extremely reasonable prices:
Bed and breakfast is priced at
€28.42 per person per night,
half-board (which includes
breakfast and 2 course meal at
either lunch or dinner) is €40.71
per person per night, and allinclusive is €52.per person per
night. (prices correct at time of
going to press)
