Sacred Spirit Journeys offers you the opportunity to take your own path, with a selection of journeys to complement you from detox to yoga, to meditation and a spiritual pilgrimage, all under the expert supervision of a group of leaders, each with their own story in reaching their destination. On the topic of destinations, you will notice with every journey, the location is linked with the individual teachings to ensure that everything is as authentic as possible. One example would be journeys that focus on shamanism will be held in the jungle, meditation in Burma, Ayurveda in india. This really assists in terms of healing and growth to be able to absorb the energies of the teachings. This is not just an idea, it is based on the extensive journeys taken by Hala and her team. All spiritual journeys are a lifelong commitment, it is a continual learning process, what is right for the moment now may not be right in the future but another path will come for you to follow. I strongly believe that when embarking on discovering your true self the use of your “gut” reactions is vital, this is an instinctive reaction that we, on many occasions, choose to ignore, often then discovering that our first thoughts were the right ones. This is our first lesson in self trust. To begin your journey, or to enhance your current spirituality, you need to be in a place of peace, tranquility and of a positive energy. Whilst it is possible to seek your spirituality in the chaos of daily life, it is far easier to connect with yourself and nature whilst being able to absorb yourself within the beauty of the nature around you, to be able to lean against a huge tree and feel the energy, to be able to take the time out to listen to the birds sing, to walk, barefoot through a stream, to connect, to feel, to absorb the energy, of all that is true around you. Once you begin to recharge your senses you begin to awaken, even your sense of taste will change when you learn to take time to savour the food you eat . It is also vital to bless the food you eat, to take a moment to appreciate what you have been given, through prayer, we give ourselves a moment of peace and clarity from which we can grow. Learning to just be silent , for many, is a very difficult task and yet, from silence we can heal, grow and discover much about ourselves. Learning to reject negativity is another lesson, a very important one. Negativity comes at us on a day to day basis and we need to learn how to protect ourselves and how to reject negativity, sometimes this can be in the form of other people and some tough decisions may need to be made, but if we are going to be true to ourselves, live life in the fullest way, we need to be sure that everything around us is also in the same truth. Ego is also a huge lesson. Letting go of things that we feel are important, or things which we feel validate us are often one of the more difficult aspects of a spiritual journey. Once we have learnt that the only thing that can validate us is ourselves, our actions and who we are we can move forward with a much richer and rewarding life. Once you have removed ego you will then be able to see it in others, which enables you to protect yourself from any negativity which may come your way. People do still find the idea of a spiritual journey something that is for hippies only and yet, as more and more people waken, you will be surprised at who you will meet on your journey. www.sacred-spirit-journeys.com www.internationallifestylemagazine.com
