Houston Global Trade Conference & Expo
On September 25 and 26, 2018 iF Magazine was seen on the scene at Royal Sonesta Hotel for the Houston Global
Trade Conference & Expo presented by Houston International Trade Development Council, Inc.(HITDC) a non-
partisan, nonprofit membership-based organization dedicated to assisting Houston area small and medium enterprises
develop economically in new and emerging global markets in developing counties of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean,
Central and South America via trade missions and trade forums. www.houstontrade.org
The event was true to the mission of HITDC. Over the two day, well-attended conference and expo there were
three forums held: the Asia, Americas and Africa Forums. Along with some very knowledgeable speakers there was
some great entertainment. There was the US National Anthem sung by Filipino, Daphne Marie and the Indonesian
Dancers The highly anticipated event was also assisted by the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce (CoC), Filipino
CoC, US Bilateral African CoC, Myanmar CoC, Tri-County Regional Black CoC, National Hispanic Professional
Organization NHPO, Pakistan CoC USA, Indonesian American CoC and International Trade Center-Houston.
