Princess Maria Amor Torres National Association for Diversity Empowerment (NADE), Houston Chap- ter, organized an event on May 4th 2018, Friday evening at International Trade Center to extend a welcome reception to The Traveling Princess - Princess Maria Amor Torres. H.H. Princess Maria Amor Torres is the Founder and President of the ‘We Care for Humanity’, a non-profit organization focusing the promotion of universal humanitarianism, education, health and empowerment to the un- derprivileged women and children of the society. The event was hosted by Ms. Sangeeta Dua the Chairman of NADE, Ex- ecutive Board of Directors Roy Thomas Theodical and Thu Huong Luong extended whole-hearted support and cooperation for the success of this col- orful event, along with other sponsors and friends from various participating organizations. NADE’s main objective has been identified to bring diversity to public of- fices, social work, business and trade by empowerment as the United States of America gains more diversity in its population. Inclusion plays a vital factor for sustaining productive environment in public arena. NADE suggests the inclusion should not be limited to just numerical balance, instead inclusion must be qualified by empowerment in political, social and economic spheres, which would give a positive impact in achieving meaningful diversity. The program commenced with prayer to Lord Ganesh and Lakshmi Devi by Ms Sangeeta in presence of the distinguished guest, H.H. Princess Ma- ria Amor Torres, and other officials representing various organizations. The lighting of lamp (diya) was done by Princess Maria Amor Torres, Executive Board of Directors from NADE and other executives representing each or- ganization. After the welcome address by Sangeeta Dua, the Traveling Princess gave a short introductory talk with video clips to get a glimpse of activi- ties regarding her involvement in humanitarian activities in various countries around the globe and emphasized the need of humanitarian help in the field of education and healthcare in economically backward segments of society. 30 iF Magazine | July 2018
