CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
Houston International Trade Development Council has been estab-
lished for 10 years. Through our efforts, HITDC has indeed promoted
the trade relations for small and medium-sized enterprises between
the Greater Houston area and other countries.
Trade Mission is a great way to help SMEs facilitating trade exchanges
in Houston. Over the years, HITDC has organized numerous Trade
Missions including Mainland China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Nigeria,
Ghana, Caribbean, Cuba, Trinidad, Tobago, Panama, The Nether-
lands, and United Arab Emirates.
Houston International Trade Development Council has also ar-
ranged numerous enterprises to participate different international
conferences. We are not only the world’s largest commodity
trading exhibition (Canton Fair of China’s contracted partner), but
also the organization that has proudly assembled international
enterprises to attend the world’s largest oil conference in Houston
(Offshore Technology Conference) for years. The purpose is to build
an international trade facilitation platform for small and medium-
sized enterprises in Houston.
2018 will be our 5th year of hosting the Global Seven (G7) Awards.
HITDC will proudly present seven awards to those who have contributed
to Houston international trade exchange. Meanwhile, the event will bring
all guests/representatives from culturally diverse backgrounds together. It is
a great opportunity for SMEs around the world to expand business networks,
and “together” to strive and make Houston a more cosmopolitan city.
We truly hope that through International Focus magazine, HITDC can establish a
vital link for international trade exchanges and lead Houston to the world.
