International Focus Magazine was on-the-scene for the 12th annual Irish Cook-
off and Music Festival in memory of friend Rory Miggins. This event raised
funds for the 59th annual Houston St. Patrick’s parade that will be held on the
east side of downtown at Minute Maid Park starting at the clock tower. The
parade and the events within that are supporting the parade are to encourage
the Irish in town to come together and celebrate being Irish and any other
heritage they are.
The event planners hope that these events will bring together businesses and
people that wouldn’t normally be together because of the nature of their
business. This year’s grand Marshals are Kent Hargett and Michael Martin.
